"Made in Moldova" exhibition. State allocates record budget for promotion of Moldovan products abroad
The state has allocated a record budget, over 35 million lei, this year to promote Moldovan products abroad. The money will go to companies participating in international exhibitions. The announcement was made by Minister of Economy, Octavian Calmac at the "Made in Moldova" exhibition, which brought together over 350 local producers in Chisinau.

From sausage and cheese to carpets and clothing, everything could be found at this year's 16th edition. Textile and manufacturing companies have praised the new collections.
The Chief Executive and Economy Minister attended the exhibition, said that this year will be allocated record amount of money to promote our products abroad.
"We must take care of our producers, but not by imposing barriers to imports. We must create the conditions necessary for entrepreneurs to be able to produce quality goods, which would ensure competitiveness in the domestic market, the EU market or the one in CIS" , said head of the Executive.
"For the coming years we plan on expanding the retail or exhibition spaces for all interested in Moldova. It is the first time in Moldova's history when we have a budget for export promotion, over 35 million lei", said Economics Minister Octavian Calmac.
For the first time, the exhibition "Made in Moldova" was attended by companies from Romania.
"I'm willing to strengthen economic relations and trade relations. I am also interested to identify opportunities for investment in Moldova" , said Romanian Ambassador to Chisinau, Daniel Ionita.
The exhibition will end on February 5th.
