Pavel Filip attends 16th edition of national exhibition "Made in Moldova"
Chisinau hosted the opening of the 16th edition of the national exhibition "Made in Moldova", attended by Prime Minister Pavel Filip. Addressing entrepreneurs, chief of Ministers' Cabinet welcomed the organization of the exhibition and its transformation into an annual tradition, noting the contribution to support and promote local producers.
"Thank you for the good organization of the event and for the ambition to turn it into a regional one, because Moldova must become a regional player" said Pavel Filip.
The Premier also reiterated the Government's openness to ongoing dialogue with businessmen, stressing that the government will further make efforts to ensure the development of domestic industries.
"We must take care of our producers, but not by imposing barriers to imports. We must create the conditions necessary for entrepreneurs to be able to produce quality goods, which would ensure competitiveness in the domestic market, the EU market or the one in CIS" said head of the Executive.
The prime minister also spoke about the reforms promoted by the government to support the business and the importance of Moldova-EU association agreement to create the conditions necessary for the development of the business community and raising people's living standards.
"We finished 2016 by stabilizing the economic situation, I want for the same energy and effort to be put in 2017, not to manage a crisis, but to ensure the development, construction and growth of the national economy" said Pavel Filip.
The prime minister visited the stands with domestic products exhibited and discussed with entrepreneurs about their work, the measures to be taken by the authorities in order to support the development of the business community and ensure the competitiveness of products made in Moldova.
This year the exhibition takes place under the slogan "Through quality to competitiveness" and comprises more than 350 economic agents from Moldova.
