Magical night in Old Orhei. Hundreds of people came to see a new spectacle at DescOPERĂ Festival
Another night filled with magic at Old Orhei. Hundreds of people came to enjoy the opera "Nabucco" of Giuseppe Verdi, which is the last spectacle of this year's edition of "DescOPERĂ" Festival. The stage was taken by around 120 actors and 70 musicians.
The opera Nabucco is one of the most well-known classics. It represents the lives of Jewsish people under the rule of Nebuchadnezzar II. Being blinded by power and arrogance, the main character proclaims himself a God and in the end, loses his mind.
"The role is difficult and changes. At the beginning, the character conquered the Jews, then, after being hit by lightning, completely changes."
Artists claim that it is not easy to sing in the hills of Butuceni. Still, singers and musicians declared that the atmosphere was amazing.
"It is difficult, the conditions are not the best."
"This is an interesting experience for artists, because they are used to stages created in buildings. Here, they have to perform outside."
Spectators remained impressed.
"Very beautiful. I believe it was well organized."
"This is a beautiful place, in nature. We love it."
Among those who saw the spectacle also counted Minister of Internal Affairs, Alexandru Jizdan and head of General Police Inspectorate, Alexandru Pânzari.
"I came with my family today. Perhaps this is unique place in the world, because it allows us to host such events" Minister Alexandru Jizdan said.
"I go to concerts, to opera less, but I use any chance when I have time and when such events are organized" head of General Police Inspectorate, Alexandru Pânzari said.
DescOPERĂ reached its third edition. The festival was organized by Ministry of Education and Culture.
