PAS leader, Maia Sandu, tries to get rid of her political past, including the fact that she was a member of the Liberal Democratic Party.

PLDM's current leader, Viorel Cibotaru, who, in a TVC 21 show, described this gesture as incorrect, since Maia Sandu launched politics only with the help of Liberal Democrats.

"PLDM has carry on its fights for ideals it has promoted. The party is condemned to do so regardless of how frustrated Maia Sandu is or how intransigent Andrei Năstase to memory about PLDM", said Viorel Ciobanu, the president of the PLDM.

Until now, two parties have announced candidates for the mayor of Chisianu: Andrei Năstase of DA party and Liberal Party Valeriu Munteanu. 

Maia Sandu did not decide, however, whether PAS will come with a candidate or support the DA leader.

PAS is currently conducting a survey, and its results will show if people want members of their party to have their own candidate or to support Năstase.

PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc announced that the party will support a joint candidate of pro-European parties, which will be imposed on the socialists.
