The Capital Prosecution along with the SPIA and MAI employees, have arrested this morning a main sector officer within the Central Police Inspectorate of Chisinau.

The policeman's illegal actions were documented since October 2018 and were found elements of passive bribery.

According to the evidences, the sector officer is suspected of extortion and receiving in rates of 10 thousands MDL from a carpet cleaning specialized entrepreneur, to hide his identified breaches.

This morning were also searched his service office, home and his car, the policeman being detained for 72 hours.

For this crime, the law provides prison for five to 10 years and a 400 thousand MDL fine, also depriving him to occupy public functions on a 7 to 10 years term.
