A citizen of Republic of Moldova is investigated for trying to smuggle out of country 100 000 cigarettes packs, by hiding them in the vehicle's floor.

The incident took place last night, at Leuşeni customs, when police officers have acted based on the risk analysis and have performed extra examinations, including scanning the minivan.

The man is now investigated for contraband, a crime punishable with 500 to 600 conventional units, unpaid community service for 180 to 240 hours, or up to 2 years of imprisonment.
