Army troops from the 10th National Army contingent, deployed in the KFOR peacekeeping operation, began their mission in Kosovo.

They took over the duties of the peacekeepers in the ninth Moldovan contingent, at an authority transfer ceremony, held at the multinational "Camp Vilaggio Italia" in Pech.

The 10th National Army's contingent is made up of 41 professional militaries, including seven gendarmes and a platoon of 33 soldiers. Moldovan officers and non-commissioned officers will carry out security and defense operations of strategic objects, missions to ensure the security of Camp Vilaggio Italy, including the Decane Monastery, as well as genius research and explosives in the area of responsibility.
