Minister Nastase avoids explaining why he didn't accompany PM Sandu to visit Kiev
Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Nastase avoids explaining why he did not accompany his chief, Maia Sandu, during the official visit to Kiev. Minister Nastase said that he wanted to visit Ukraine and his vote favoring Russia didn't affect the relation with our neighbor.
"I was in Romania and Germany and I will follow the agenda I set up", said Internal Minister Nastase.
On June 27, Nastase Nastase said firmly and vigorously that he would go on an official visit to Ukraine.
Following PACE's decision, Foreign Minister of Kiev Pavlo Klimkin said his country is disappointed and has no confidence in this pan-European structure. Also, the Kiev authorities withdrew the invitation to the PACE observers in the July 21st parliamentary elections in Ukraine and announced they would suspend their participation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenski invited Andrei Nastase and Vlad Batrincea, as well as all the other delegates who voted in favor of Russia, to visit Donbass. Vladimir Zelenski believes that only the PACE Members will understand what damage and suffering the Russian Federation has caused in Ukraine.
