Ministry of Agriculture prepares lists of potential subsidy beneficiaries
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry started to compile lists of farmers, who claim subsidies for production development, reports Infotag .
During his visit to an agricultural enterprise in Costesti village of Ialoveni raion [district] at the end of last week, Minister Eduard Grama said that this year it is expected that there will be about 4 thousand of applications for subsidies.
“Finances are directed to supporting companies’ infrastructure, while the biggest part is allocated to the animal husbandry sector and traditional directions”, he said.
Measures for supporting farmers in 2016 are designed to restructuring and adapting to EU standards, investing in processing and selling of goods, development of infrastructure and supporting environment protection measures.
The enterprise, visited by the Minister, is one of the first to submit documents for getting financial assistance. The cooperative society is engaged in grape growing and is headed by Maria Vidrascu. According to the new regulations, women, who are engaged in agriculture, will get 15% boost to the sum of the subsidy.
In 2016, the enterprise extended vineyards plantations by 1.09 ha and the total area occupied by this crop exceeded 18 ha. The farmer hopes to get 266 thousand lei subsidies for extending the refrigerating facility area for storing the harvest.
The package of documents that should be submitted to get subsidies should include application, business plan for at least 5 years and a certificate that proves absence of debts to state and local budgets. This year the Agricultural Subsidy Fund accounts for 900 million lei.
Documents for getting financial assistance in 2016 are accepted until October 31.
