A modern robotics laboratory was successfully launched in Technical University of Moldova. Students will now be able to use latest equipment and put into practice all gained knowledge.
"We used to have difficulties in the lab and had to do everything on the computer. From now on, it will help us develop as engineers."
"Today we attended the opening of those important laboratories and we will following add new labs. So that graduates of Technical University of Moldova will be better prepared to face the demands of the business environment" rector of TUM, Viorel Bostan said.
The robotics laboratory will host automated system and humanoid robots. EVA is already 3-year-old and is present at all events taking place in the faculty, to welcome the guests.
A student fascinated by the smart house concept demonstrated how apartments can be monitored using an app. A car can also be controlled through an app.
"This sensor can detect any obstacles from a distance, depending on the how we programmed it, it can stop at a certain distance."
Soon, robotics will be available not only for TUM students, but also preschoolers, who will learn of digital data.
"We have already made an agreement with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research. We wish for digital education to be introduced for 1st graders starting September 2018" Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici declared.
The laboratory was opened within a program financed by United States Agency for International Development and Government of Sweden. It costed 230 000 lei.
