Modifications on intersection between Durlesti town and Dumbrava village
On Balcani highway, the portion from the edge of the Capital there were installed the most performing traffic lights from the country. Those are coordinated through GSM system and those target to streamline the traffic and reduce the number of accidents.
In contrast with other traffic lights, those are not connected through wire and can be coordinated very easy and fast.
"It received the command in three seconds. It starts its activity according to the cycle written by the National Patrol Inspectorate", said Anatolie Mosoretie, manager.
The modern traffic lights can be seen from a far.
The circulation signs get charged from the solar light and lit during the night, so those can be seen from a far.
The authorities say the traffic lights were installed at the intersection between Durlesti town and Dumbrava village, because this intersection is one of the most dangerous in the whole city.
"This intersection was always dangerous, because there are no traffic lights here. Previously, it was almost impossible to manage the circulation here, somehow", said Nistor Grozavu, the deputy mayor of the Capital.
The drivers are glad about the changes. Now, they will be able to cross the intersection safer.
"On Balcani highway, the trucks had always had a higher speed than 70 kilometers per hour. It is very hard to cross."
"It was necessary to put the traffic lights here. This intersection in dangerous, because it is always crowded."
The Transportation Fund spent 865 thousand lei on those four traffic lights. Nistor Grozavu, the deputy mayor of the Capital says that all the traffic lights that will be installed the next year will be of a better quality than the ones we have now. Anyway, to replace those, the City Hall requires at least 25 years.
