Moldova and Romania will join forces to patrol borders
General Inspectorates of the Border Police of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova and Romania will unfold a activity of patrolling together the borders.
Cabinet of Minister have approved today negotiations and finalized the protocol for this aim.
The mixed patrolling teams will significantly increase their capacity and ensure better security for the borders between Romania and Moldova.
Therefore, it will be easier to prevent transnational crimes, especially smuggling and illegal migration.
The mixed teams will activate on a 10 km zone from the border line on the territory of both states.
Authorities from Moldova and Romania are performing coordinated patrol over the Prut river since 2012.
Our country also has common patrol of borders with Ukraine.
