Moldova considers imposing restrictions on foreign nationals over coronavirus
The Romanian government has decided to suspend flights from and towards Italy until 23 March. Under all the circumstances, Moldova will consider issuing restriction on entry for foreign nationals, according to President Igor Dodon.
"In case Romania suspend flights from Italy or other countries, areas where the virus breaks out and sweeps, then we can't let Moldova become a transit country for people of these countries.
We examine the opportunity and the possibility to restrict and give access only to Moldovan citizens.
Persons who don't complete or mistakenly fill in the requested information, which will lead to the outbreak or the spread of the virus in Moldova, will be fined or investigated for criminal responsibility", President Igor Dodon declared in the Monday's meeting.
