Moldova, EU holds dialogue on cooperation in foreign, security policy sector
A delegation of the European External Action Service, led by Director of the Crisis Management and Planning Directorate Gabor Iklody, is on a 5-6 October working visit to Chisinau, Moldpres reports.
At a meeting, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur and the EU delegation members reviewed the main developments of the Moldova-European Union dialogue on the foreign and security policy dimension, as well as the evolution of the negotiations for the signing of the agreement on exchange of classified information and Moldova’s participation in EU crisis management operations.
Appreciating the high level of cooperation with Moldova, Gabor Iklody voiced full openness for deepening the dialogue with Moldova. He said the goal of EU delegation’s visit was to set new priority trends to extend the cooperation with Moldova, by turning to good account new opportunities provided to EU’s foreign partners in the European Union’s Global Security Strategy and the Joint Framework to counter hybrid threats and foster the resilience of the EU, its Member States and partner countries.
