Moldova Judo team partaking European Championship to be set up
Four Moldovan Judokas Mihai Doncilă, Ion Nacu, Cornel Andrieş and Victor Sterpu will represents Moldova at the European Championships reserved for juniors. The competition will take place in the Slovenia city of Maribor between 15-17 September.
"Andrieş Cornel became champion in the last two tournaments so we count a lot on him. Besides, Mihai Doncilă, Ion Nacu and Victor Sterpu also have good chances for the medals." said general secretary FM of Judo, Valeriu Duminica.
"I was well trained and now I'm ready to gain good result," says Judoka Ion Nacu.
Up to now, Sterpu has moved up to 73 pounds, but the 81-kg-category will be required in the competition.
"I have to improve myself and increase up to the 81-kilogram category." said Victor Sterpu.
There will be 500 judokas from 40 countries joining the championship in Slovenia.
