Moldova received 10 mobile artificial ventilation devices for intensive care units
Moldova's Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection will receive 10 mobile artificial ventilation devices for intensive care units.
At the same time, WHO provides technical support to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and the National Agency for Public Health to coordinate and monitor actions in response to COVID-19.
The new assistance package also includes strengthening psychological counseling services for the population and health workers during the epidemic, as well as after remission. WHO has developed algorithms and guidelines for counseling and intervention in psycho-emotional and mental health issues, conducting online training for psychologists and non-medical staff.
In this context, psychological support teams were created for the medical institutions included in the response to COVID-19.
The UN system in Moldova and development partners support the national response to the pandemic through activities aimed at protecting people, increasing the capacity of the health care system and reducing economic and social shocks.
