The swine fever does not endanger the north of the country any longer. The hotbeds uncovered in September have disappeared.
The proof has been stated by the Food Safety National Agency: the pigs put to live in the places where the hotbeds had been annihilated stayed alive.
Now the quarantine in the area will be lifted.
The producers from the villages of Moșana and Cernoleuca will be allowed now to sell pork, as the bazaars from those villages will resume work.
The hotbeds appeared after people from that area bought and brought home pork from Ukraine. The Moldovan authorities still insist on discouraging people to buy meat from Ukraine.
