The Sculeni custom officers have prevented two attempts to smuggle undeclared goods out of the country.

Customs officers found 33,000 cigarettes of various brands, 1,345 pills and 100 ampoules of anabolic substance.

The cigarettes were hidden in the ceiling of a minibus, a 38-year-old resident of Stefan Voda District.

The anabolic products were found in the glove compartment driven by a 41-year-old Austrian citizen.

Both men are liable to fines of up to 4,500 lei.
