A Moldovan was detained by border guards with 2,400 cigarettes without tax markings. The 36-year-old man was stopped for checks in Galati city. He was driving a BMW car registered in Bulgaria.

After the control, border guards found 2,400 brand cigarettes without excise stamp behind the front seats.

The person said that he bought them from a Romanian citizen, in order to resell them.

Cigarettes worth 1,440 Romanian lei (equivalent of 7.039 MDL) were confiscated.
