The Moldovan doctors received salaries raised by 20% in the second half of the 2016, according to performance indices set by the Healthcare Ministry.

The family doctors got the biggest salaries up to 11,000 lei, while the assistants (nurses) – a minimum of 5,600 lei. 

The doctors with 20 years of experience got up to 9,000 lei.

The hospital employees may get a bonus of at least 15% depending of their performance. The Ministry reports that after the pay hike, much fewer patients write complaints on the medical personnel.
