A person passed away and another two were injured after a grave car accident took place on Friday on DE 581 highway, near Târzii, between Crasna and Huşi, wrote Agerpres.ro.

Accpording to provided information from representatives of Vaslui Police Inspectorate, two vehicles were implicated in the accident, a minibus from Republic of Moldova and another vehicle.

So far investigations hint that the minibus driver caused the accident.

"The minibus driver claimed that a SUV that was in front suddenly hit the breaks, causing him to attempt and make a right turn to avoid the impact. The moment the vehicle started driving against the traffic, it collided with another car. The accident resulted into one person passing away and another two being injured. None of the 10 minibus passengers were hurt. Files were opened for manslaughter and bodily harm" spokesman of IPJ Vaslui, Silvia Manta declared.

On site was dispatched a SMURD team, a vehicle to transport all victims, two car evacuators and three ambulances.

Investigation continues.
