Moldovan farmers start harvesting more wheat than last year
The wheat harvest this year is 10% more than in 2015, as the farmers hope to get as many as one million of tonnes of grain.
They profit from the fine weather and started harvesting. 310,000 hectares were planted, that is 31.000 less than in 2015.
Though the area is smaller, Agriculture minister Eduard Grama assures the wheat price will stay steady.
Environment inspectors warn the farmers not to set fire to stubble, facing fines.
