Intelligence officers and prosecutors have detained a man keeping a huge amount of explosives in his Chisinau apartments.

In their searches, the law-enforcers lifted 7.2 kg of TNT, 188 detonating capsules KD 8A, 3 electric detonators and 8 ampoules with a liquid chemical used to produce explosives.

The suspect has been tapped by the anti-terror unit of the Intelligence Service (SIS) for the last six months and now faces up to 5 years in jail.
