Maria Olărașu and Daniela Cociu, two sportswomen from Moldova, have won silver medal in 500-meter double kayaks at the European Kayak-canoe Championships, reserved for athletes up to 23 years of age.

The competition took place in Racice of Czech. 

They were surpassed by Ukrainians Liudmyla Luzan and Anastasia Chetverikova with 3 seconds faster. Belarusian sportswomen Darina Salanenka and Irina Vihruk also managed in top three.
