The Moldovan parliament decides to give up plastic bottles starting this year. The decision will save the budget about 100 thousand lei annually, announces the press service of the Legislature.
The water will then be distributed free of charge through water dispensers on the halls, committees, factions and for the plenary sessions of the Parliament. At the same time, the plastic glasses will be replaced with paper cups.
"Plastic bottles are a big environmental problem. Unfortunately the tap water is not quality, but we decided to give up plastic, "said the Secretary General of the Moldovan Parliament Adrian Albu.
