Premier Pavel Filip has talked over the phone with NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg about the inauguration of the Liaison Office in Chișinău.

Pavel Filip has said the Government will provide all the support to ease the procedures of accrediting the liaison office personnel.

Jens Stoltenberg has said the accreditation procedures will start in March, as the opening is scheduled for June 2017.

Premier has invited the secretary general to visit Moldova and attend the opening ceremony.

Pavel Filip has reiterated Moldova’s interest to strengthen the political dialogue with the NATO within the Individual Action Plan (IPAP.) He said Moldova’s neutrality principle is stipulated in IPAP, what makes useless signing a separate agreement concerning this issue.

The two officials have also discussed about the Transnistrian conflict.

The agreement on opening the NATO’s liaison office in Chișinău was signed by Pavel Filip and Jens Stoltenberg on November 29, 2016, in Brussels.
