Prime minister Pavel Filip today has met a team of World Bank representatives and has discussed about the project "Modernizing the Healthcare System in Moldova".

"Moldova has unfolded more key reforms in the healthcare system, many of which are supported by the World Bank. It’s important to further go on with the reforms so that the inhabitants of the Moldovan villages and towns should equally have access to qualitative public health, medical and pharmaceutical services," the Cabinet chief said.

Enis Bans, a WB official responsible with the healthcare sector has said the World Bank will further assist this country: "The running project is correct, based on a good and solid concept. There room to discuss its expansion."

The WB experts opine more attention should be paid to primary medicine and preventing steps. They have appreciated Moldova’s progress in passing key laws for the public health, including the anti-smoking law.
