Moldovan universities to implement mixed type of learning from September 1
From September 1, students of several higher education institutions will begin new semester with mixed type of learning: online learning and physical presence at class.
The young people from the Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics of Technical University (UTM) have several high-performance devices that will allow students to connect directly or via wi-fi to various applications.
The Rector of UTM claims that they will take all protection measures when the courses take place in classes. Students and teachers will wear masks and keep their physical distance. The rooms will be equipped with disinfectants and thermometers.
"Since July, we have started filming video lessons for first-year students. It is a very successful experiment, we have already filmed over 400 hours. In the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry. We have also created a platform where students will have access to video content for lectures, seminars and laboratory papers ", said Viorel Bostan, Rector of TUM.
ASEM is also ready to implement the mixed education system. However, the rector of the institution claims that face to face learning is obviously the best method.
There are 27 universities in Moldova, of which 17 are state-owned.
