A citizen of Moldova was arrested for smuggling into the country a lot of goods. The items were found and confiscated by Border Guards patrolling the R-30 highway, over the weekend, near Tudora district, Ștefan Vodă district.

Officers pulled over a Volkswagen Caddy minivan, with Moldovan registration plates, driven by a villager from Talmaza, Ștefan Vodă district. After investigations, border guards have established that the driver did not have proper documents for the transported goods. Therefore, 5 acrylic rolls, 2 audio speakers, agriculture tools and detergents, worth 14 000 lei, were confiscated.

The investigation is ongoing.
