Moldovan winemakers participating in exhibition in the Netherlands
Eleven Moldovan winemaking companies are participating in the eighth World Bulk Wine Exhibition in Amsterdam, Infotag reports.
The following companies have presented their products at the exhibition: Vinaria din vale (Chisinau), NIS Struguras (Nisporeni), Poiana winery (Ulmu), National Office for Vine and Wine (Chisinau), JSC Aroma (Chisinau), IM Salcuta (Causeni), Garling Collection (Chisinau), Ever Vin Ltd. (Chisinau), Corten Vin Companie (Chisinau), Cimislia Winerie (Cimislia) и Asconi (Ialoveni).
According to one of exhibition participants, prices on bulk wine varied this year between 0.29-0.32 euros per liter.
“Such a price of wines, not taking into account subsidies and state grants winemakers from EU countries are receiving from authorities, would satisfy Moldovan winemakers as well. But, for example, the fact that in Spain winemakers are receiving 20% state subsidies for the exported wine volumes is putting Spanish winemakers beyond comparison with Moldovan producers”, Infotag interviewee said.
Given the costs for transportation at the level of 10%, duties – 20%, customs procedures – 0.04%, such prices on bulk wine do not satisfy Moldovan winemakers.
“At the Amsterdam exhibition, there were wines at a price of 18-21 Eurocents per liter, which makes Moldovan wines beyond all comparison”, said a company manager.
