Moldovans celebrate Day of National Culture and anniversary of 167 years since birth of national poet Mihai Eminescu

For the fifth consecutive year, on January 15, Moldova celebrates National Day of Culture and the birth of the national poet Mihai Eminescu.
On the anniversary of 167 years since birth of Mihai Eminescu, Government members, politicians, artists but also citizens of Moldova have admired Eminescu's work.
"We have had and still have Eminescu as the emblem of the national culture and one of the greates poet of the Romanian culture and secondly today, January 15th, it's the National Culture Day" , said Culture Minister Monica Babuc.
As always, dignitaries, Liberal Party leader Mihai Ghimpu and President Igor Dodon have competed in reciting poems.
The poet Mihai Eminescu was born on January 15, 1850.
