Moldovans DETAINED by SIS officers for promoting radical ideologies through internet
The Information and Security Service in cooperation with Soroca town prosecutors have detained several Moldovan citizens for trying to promote radical ideologies on social networks and publishing images of Islam extremists.
Following searches conducted at their homes, several guns of different types have been detected.
If proven guilty, they risk imprisonment from 2 to 7 years.
The Information and Security Service officers inform Moldovan citizens of the gravity and danger of promoting radical ideologies, marketing, illegal storage of weapons and ammunition, participation in conflicts and military action, and calls for the active involvement of society in activities of extremist and terrorist nature.
