Moldovans legally working in Germany to benefit from pensions and social packages
Moldova citizens will benefit from old age pensions, disability pensions due to ordinary diseases, pensions and disability benefits caused by accidents at work and occupational diseases.
The Government approved today the draft law on the ratification of the Agreement on social security between the Republic of Moldova and the Federal Republic of Germany, signed on January 12, 2017.
The purpose of the Agreement is to provide a framework of social security guarantees for Moldovan migrant workers legally working or residing in either of states.
Besides, social benefits is also possibly applied for Moldova citizens.
Both Moldova and Germany will calculate and pay the pension only for periods of insurance completed in their own territory and the pension will be transferred to the person in the territory of the state where he resides.
Moldova has signed 13 bilateral agreements in the field of social security with Romania, Portugal, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Austria, Estonia, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Belgium and Lithuania, Germany and Turkey.
