Moldovans with Romanian citizenship can enter Romania without being quarantined
Moldovans with Romanian citizenship can enter Romania without staying in isolation for two weeks. Bucharest removed Moldova from the list of states with high epidemiological risk. The decision was approved by the National Committee for Emergency Situations and enters into force today.
Moldovans who hold only a Moldovan passport, however, are still banned from entering the neighboring country, as provided by a previous decision of the Romanian authorities.
Exceptions are Moldovans who have family members of Romanian nationality, those who have a residence permit across the Prut, people who travel in professional interest or study, members of diplomatic missions, but also those who arrive for transit purposes.
Both those with a Romanian passport and Moldovans who have the right to enter Romania will not be quarantined unless they have been in countries in the area with a high epidemiological risk in the last 14 days. This list includes 30 countries, including Spain, Belgium, France, Ireland, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom.
