The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) started in 2018 with a foreign exchange reserve of over 2.863 billion USD, with more than 600 million more than the beginning of 2017. It presents a historical record, says NBM.
Since the beginning of the year, foreign exchange reserves have risen by $ 60 million. According to the NBM, this is due to the stabilization of the Moldovan currency exchange rate, the re-establishment of relations with the International Monetary Fund and the entry of foreign credits to the Ministry of Finance.
The previous record of the foreign exchange reserve was set in 2013 and was two billion $ 827 million.
