Yearly, the National Agency ''Moldsilva'' raises 10 million trees in its 34 greenhouses. More often, they plant ashes and acacia, that are distributed free to the agency.

Everybody who is interested in planting the trees can join those 34 greenhouses.

''We urge all the citizens to join us.A tree produces 3 tons of Oxygen yearly. For example, I should plant many trees for all the oxygen they consume'', said Vasile Bitca, the Minister of MADRM.

In the past 22 years from the release of the National Tree Planting Day, 60 thousands ha were planted in Moldova. Thus, the surface covered with forests constitutes 10,8 % from Moldova's surface.

''The National Ecologic Fund needs to be regenerated. It would be better if the forests weren't cut anymore. I urge people to plant rather than to cut the forests'',said Vasile Bitca, the Minister of MADRM.

The National Tree Planting Day started to be celebrated in 1995 and it takes place every year in the last Saturday of October. According to the statistics, Moldova has a forest surface that is three times smaller than in the whole Europe.
