MPs changed their jackets and hats on sportive clothes and planted trees in ''La Izvor'' park
They changed the hat and the jacket on sportive clothes, they took the spades and went to plant trees. It is about the deputies of the Democratic Party and the Parliament's employees who planted today over 350 trees in the ''La Izvor'' park from the Capital.
''We decided to plant trees in this side of the park, we wanted to make not only the park, but the whole Capital more beautiful'', said Marian Lupu, the president of the Democratic Party.
''According to the Biodiversity Strategy, till 2020, 15% of Moldova's territory should be planted with trees. Unfortunately, we planted only 13%. Thus, we have a lot of work to do'', said Violeta Ivanov, deputy of the Democratic Party.
For some of the politicians, this activity became a beautiful tradition.
''For the first time after finishing the faculty I participate on such a program "A tree for the eternity'', with my colleagues'', said Sergiu Sirbu, deputy of PD.
The Democrats urged all the Moldovans to participate at such actions.
''Here there are my colleagues from the Parliament and my club, I gathered them too and urged to participate at the action.
-How many trees did they plant?
-All this row, 20 totally, I think'', said Constantin Tutu, deputy of the PDM.
''Now matter what function do we fulfill in the Parliament, we all should plant trees, to contribute to the renewal of the nature'', said Eugeniu Nihiforciuc, PDM deputy.
''All the citizens should plant at least a tree'', said Corneliu Padnevici, PDM's deputy.
According to the Parliament's emoloyees, this campaign is very important.
''It is a noble thing: every year we should plant trees.''
''Our mood is perfect, after we made an effort.''
The participants planted ashes, Japanese acacias and maples.
