Museums at Night in Moldova. Guests can expect unforgettable expositions
Moldovans are becoming more interested in museums. According to the data of Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, only last year, the number of visitors rose by nearly 130%, compared to 2016. Authorities expect that on May 19, on Museums at Night, the number of visitors will be high. Especially since the museums will be free of charge.
The Art Museum has prepared an impressing exposition of abstract and interactive art, as well as a Jazz performance.
"There will be classing music, we decided upon a music genre that can easily blend with our art" director of National Art Museum, Tudor Zbârnea said.
At the Museum of Ethnography, people will be able to enjoy African music, by a group that came all the way from Mali.
"We will have a special program, a group will arrive for the first time in Republic of Moldova and Europe. We also have two groups from Criuleni and Anenii Noi that will present a puppet theater, fanfare and a folk ensemble" director of National Museum of Ethnography, Petru Vicol explained.
While those who will visit the History Museum will be able to see a motorcycle exposition, enjoy classic music and multiple interactive games.
"There will be 20 new and old motorcycles. Also here, Ştefan cel Mare Academy will present a program for people passionate in military tradition and history" director of National History Museum, Natalia Popovici mentioned.
On Saturday Night 66 museums will be open in 18 districts.
"We invite everyone to not miss this change and enjoy the hard work of our museums' employees. I assure you that people will find it entertaining, while children unforgettable" Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Monica Babuc said.
For this event authorities have allocated 80 000 lei.
