National Army talk with US Armed Forces on developing operational medicine capabilities
Representatives of medical structures within the US Armed Forces are in the Republic of Moldova between February 20-22.
According to the head of the Medical-Military Directorate of the General Staff, lieutenant-colonel doctor Sergiu Cîrlan, the visit aims to achieve an exchange of experience in the field of surgical medicine at pre-hospital stage and to develop the interoperability between the medical structures.
The US troops met with officers from the National Armed Forces Medical Service to discuss the possibilities of developing operational medicine capabilities, optimizing the concept of medical support in operations, and planning bilateral healthcare activities in the 2020- 2022.
In Chişinău, representatives of US Armed Forces medical structures carried out familiarization visits at the Central Military Clinic Hospital, the Diagnostic Center of the Ministry of Defense and the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy Nicolae Testemitanu.
