Network of palliative medical care to be opened in Chisinau
In the Republic of Moldova there will be created a national network of palliative care, that will take care of the patients who are seriously ill, at home. In this sense, today, there was launched the development project of this network, by Hospices of Hope Moldova, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
Presently, in this network there were involved three organizations from Ocnita, Ornei and Soroca, who provide such help for the ill who live in these districts.
Hospices of Hope Moldova helped the teams to be funded for salaries, drugs, transport, humanity aid and so on.
At the same time, till August, there will be created other two mobile teams of palliative care, who will benefit of the support mentioned above.
Rodica Scutelnic, State Secretary was also present at the event. She mentioned that MSMPS has a priority to provide the palliative services in the hospitals. To provide the quality, the doctors and medical assistants will pass a training.
"We appreciate the initiative of Hospices of Hope Moldova, who will contribute to achieve our common target, which means to provide the required medical care and decent life conditions for the patients", declared Rodica Scutelnic.
At her turn, the manager of Hospices of Hope Moldova, Raluca Munteanu highlighted that the number of visits will raise by 50% after this project will be implemented.
We remind that the palliative care will strengthen the life quality of the patients and their families.
