New African swine fever case detected in Ungheni

A positive case of African swine fever has been reported near the village of Sculeni in the district of Ungheni, writes news.ungheni.org.
Between January 16 and February 3, experts of the National Agency for Food Safety took samples from several localities and found five positive cases of rabies, confirmed in the virology section:
- cattle in Ștefan Vodă
- cat in the Orhei district;
- dog in Rezina district;
- 2 dogs in Balti municipality.
Publika recalls that a quarantine facility was set up in Cneazevca, Leova. This came after swine fever outbreak was detected in a peasant farm. At least 30 pigs were slaughtered and incinerated.
