The new Audiovisual code will be prepared today, within the work session for improving the media legislation. At the discussions there will participate national and international experts, deputies, media representatives and ONG representatives.

Different developing projects there will be presented at the session.

The session of the working group for improving the media legislation will be directed by Adrian Candu will begin at 2 pm and transmitted live on Parliament's web site.

The working group for improving media is a communication platform and a cooperation platform between the Parliament and the media institutions' representatives, the international institutions and ONGs.

The group was created in June 2017 at the initiative of Adrian Candu, the President of the Parliament, with the support of the Common Project of European Council "Promoting media freedom and pluralism in the Republic of Moldova".

The technical assistance is offered by the Freedom House, Sweden Agency for International Cooperation and Development, US Embassy to Republic of Moldova.
