New cars for Police Inspectorates. EU bought 42 new cars for Moldovan police
They don't need to borrow their colleagues' cars to reveal the crimes, anymore. The subdivisions of penal investigation of the General Police Inspectorate received new cars. The Minister of Internal Affairs gave them the keys of the 42 cars. The ceremony was also assisted by the European Union Ambassador to Chisinau and the IGP chiefs.
Five cars remained in Chisinau and 37 in districts:
"We are pleased. We have a new and good car."
"The new car means a faster reaction."
"They will reveal the crimes faster. Also, they will work faster", said Grigore Moga, the chief of the UP Direction of IGP.
Till now, the majority of the subdivisions didn't own a service car and the police were using their own cars to arrive at the place of the crime.
"We didn't have our own cars. It was difficult", mentioned an employee.
Alexandru Panzari, the IGP chief declared that the policemen who already have cars but those are old will also receive new ones.
"16 cars will be removed. Thus, all the sections and inspectorates will benefit of new cars", said IGP chief.
The vehicles were bought with EU's money.
"This is a way among which EU expresses its aid for the Moldovan Police", said Peter Michalko, the EU Ambassador to Republic of Moldova.
The total cost of the cars is over 8,3 million lei.
