New coronavirus infection case reported in Parliament
An employee from the cabinet of the PPDA Party's parliamentary faction contracted COVID-19. This is the fifth infection case in Parliament: two MPs and three employees of the Legislature.
All MPs and employees of the Parliament Secretariat had to get tested for COVID-19 after Democrat Eugeniu Nichiforciuc contracted this virus, according to the statement made in Parliament by the honorary president of PDM, Dumitru Diacov.
Subsequently, it was confirmed that the head of the Cabinet of Alexandru Slusari was diagnosed with COVID-19. The person is asymptomatic and went to the family doctor for further monitoring.
Alexandru Slusari then specified that all members of the PPDA faction were tested negative for COVID-19.
Last week, Deputy Chairman of the Parliament Vladislav Batrîncea announced on a social network that one of his advisers had become infected with the new coronavirus.
Until June 5, the deputies from the Socialist Party faction will do the repeated COVID-19 tests.
