New EBRD's strategy for Republic of Moldova's development
A new strategy of the EBRD could be implemented in Republic of Moldova between 2017 and 2020. The announcement was made within the meeting of the President of the Parliament, Adrian Candu with the delegation of the Director Council of EBRD.
The discussions were about the authorities' actions of implementing the stipulations of the Association Agreement with EU.
Adrian Candu referred to the legislative branches that were approved by the Parliament, for the reforms in the financial-banking sector, fight against corruption, creating better conditions for an attractive environment.
According to the EBRD's officials, the new strategy for Republic of Moldova will be approved at the ending of November. The strategies will be bases on improving the Government, increasing the competitiveness of the country, supporting the private sector and the modernization of the public sector.
Also, the new strategy of cooperation is based on the improvement of the economy and creating a less harmful environment.
Till the present moment, EBRD supported 116 projects worth over a milliard euros, in Moldova. The actual EBRD's portfolio contains over 478 million euros, 69% of them are for the infrastructure, 13% for the energetic sector, 10% for the industry, trade and agrobusiness, 8% for the financial institutions.
