New round of privatizations of state enterprises
The state makes another attempt to sell its goods. The Public Property Agency is selling properties worth of 1.4 billion lei.
Most important assets will be on the exchange stock during the period of December 12 to 16th. Some companies proposed for privatization, have been auctioned several times.
The state enterprises are: Tobacco CTC, Glass Factory in Chisinau and Central Typography.
Authorities hope that this time, local and international investors will buy the assets.
"Lately, several investors have contacted us, mainly from Romania, who are interested in those enterprises. Relying on the international experience, we expect these assets to be sold" , said Economy Minister Octavian Calmac.
A competition for 13 commercial and state companies worth of 600 million lei will be organized at the last round of privatizations.
Public Property Agency also announced an investment tender for the privatization of cinemas in Falesti and Leova town.
