Non-profit organizations will be registered by Public Services Agency
Public Services Agency will register non-profit organizations. Parliament has examined and voted in the first sitting, a project to modify the law for this purpose. Ministry of Justice will relay the competence to register non-profit organizations to Public Services Agency.
The changes foresee that the Public Services Agency will register periodical publications and press agencies, public associations, including their branches, foundations, branches and representatives of foreign foundations, sponsors, syndicates, religious cults and their components. At the same time, political parties and mediation organizations will also be registered.
Ministry of Justice, within its established limited special laws, will also have the right to warn some non-profit organizations in case when breaches are found, to address the court to suspend their activity or shut them down in case when their activity is contrary to the legal provisions.
The legislative acts governing the creation, organization and functioning of non-commercial were also reviewed and a non-profit organization's registration term was lessened from 30 to 15 days.
Another aspect foreseen is the fact that Agencies will receive the competence to register not only republican and international public associations, but also local ones. This change aims to develop the singe window principle and ensure a singe comprehensive account of juridical persons.
The law's authors claim that transferring some competences of Justice Ministry to other public authorities is the most optimal solution in the context of public administration reform.
