An officer from the Pretura Botanica sector was detained by NAC officers and anticorruption prosecutors for passive corruption.
According to the survey materials, the specialist in the Architecture and Construction Service, allegedly claimed and received from the whistle-blower 200 euros in order not to punish for the unauthorized demolition of a wall in his house.
The official was detained for 72 hours and is at risk for up to 10 years in prison.
Law enforcement officials have initiated a criminal investigation.
