Oleg Ciumaş, magistrate from Bălţi, who caused an accident resulting in the death of a motorcyclist, is investigated. Superior Council of Magistracy accepted the request of prosecutor Eduard Harunjen, on beginning an investigation.

Through the case, Ciumaş will continue working.

"No suspension was requested, taking into consideration that he is accused of imprudence" president of Superior Council of Magistracy, Victor Micu explained.

The accident took place on April 13, in Făleşti. According to the police, the magistrates attempted to pass another vehicle and collided with the motorcyclist.

The vehicle crashed into a passerby.

As a result, the motorcyclist passed on the way to the hospital, while the 27-year-old victim gained a fractured leg.

36-year-old Oleg Ciumaş is a magistrate at Bălţi Court since 2011.
