On May 9 Moldova will celebrate both Victory Day and Europe Day
Citizens of Republic of Moldova will be able to celebrate May 9 together, regardless their political views. The declaration was made by leader of PDM, Vlad Plahotniuc, who announced that the party will organize a grand concert in Capital, where both local and international signers will participate.
"We must finally reach a point where we will no longer be divided by geopolitics or other reasons, starting from this beautiful coincidence, as we can celebrate both Victory Day and Europe Day at the same time" leader of PDM Vlad Plahotniuc said.
The event organized by Democratic Party of Moldova will begin in front of the Nativity Cathedral. Later, the program continues with a traditional march and songs, while all those presents will dance hora in the Great National Assembly Square. Guests will be then able to attend a concert of classic music.
"Eugen Doga will surprise all people who love his music."
The evening will end with a grand concert, with renown singers.
"Blue band, Delia, Thomas Anders, as well as others surprise special guests."
Traffic will be suspended in the second half of the day tomorrow, in the Great National Assembly Square, starting from Bănulescu-Bodoni streets to Puşkin streets.
"For the concert we recommend citizens to use public transport. While those who will favor their cars are requested to abide the indications of patrol officers. People who will use their personal vehicles are requested to park them in proper places" INP chief, Liviu Baziuc said.
Officers also remind that people will not be allowed to drink alcohol during the events.
"Over 3 500 officers and carabiniers and security agencies will ensure public order on May 9."
Over 270 events dedicated to May 9 will unfold in multiple localities from the country.
